HELMSLEY rockers One Night Only have fulfilled a dream by heading Scarborough's Beached festival.
The five-strong band took to the main stage on Saturday night where they played their favourite hits in front of thousands of people.

It was a welcome return for members Mark Hayton, Jack Sails, Daniel Parkin, Sam Ford and George Craig who performed at the event last year – just before hitting the big time.

Mark, 20, said: “We love being back in Scarborough and this festival means a lot to us.

“Last year we were one of the smaller bands that performed and we said at the time that we would love to headline it one year.

“When we were asked to do it this year we were just so pleased and we have been really looking forward to it. We have wanted to do it for a long time.”

The band played at Glastonbury earlier this year but said Beached was a lot more nerve-wracking.

Jack, 18, said: “Glastonbury was amazing and was a fantastic experience for us. We were performing in front of thousands of people, but to be honest we were not that nervous.

“But with Beached, you know your friends and family are in the audience, and that definitely makes us more nervous. We want to be at our best.
