ANOTHER success for Pickering Town Council's Pride in
Pickering campaign – the town's Explorer Scouts have
offered to spruce up railings around the Forest and Vale
roundabout and on Park Street.
Cllr Brian Baker was tasked with finding a local group that was willing to help with the project and the scouts, under the leadership of John Flintoft, were willing volunteers with the help of North Yorkshire Highways staff, who will cone off part of the road as a safety measure.
Cllr Baker and the scouts will paint railings at the roundabout on Monday August 18 and those at Park Street on Wednesday August 27.
